The doulas of Babies Under My Wings are physical, emotional and spiritual support people who provide evidence-based information.
Birth doulas help families who are expecting a baby with prenatal appointments, during pregnancy, childbirth and right after childbirth.
Postpartum doulas support families after birth, to navigate, process, and recover from the birth, help with the basics of lactation, infant sleep and feeding, and infant normal communication and behavior.
Doulas create a relationship with families, providing them with security and tranquility in this memorable and important journey in the life of every human being. Every person who gives birth and their baby has the right to have the best possible experience, since it marks our lives forever.
The benefits of a doula:
Training as a doula is a great opportunity to help mothers giving birth, many times in a country foreign to theirs, without relatives nearby, and in many cases without knowing the language. Be part of the team supporting our communities.
Birth and postpartum doulas are covered by some insurances.
